TEAM MICHIGAN
TWO FEMALE PILOTS TO RACE IN NATIONAL COMPETITION:
Two Female Pilots from Michigan have come together to compete in the Air Race Classic 2008. Pam Palmeri and Cindy Kerr will participate inthe Air race Classic 2008. The Air Race Classic is the longest running all-women pilot race. This year's race begins in Bozeman, MT and the terminus is in Mansfield, MA. "We've decided to call ourselves Team MI (Team Michigan).
We are very excited to be a part of this year's air race. The event is rich in history and the empowerment of women as well as supporting and encouraging new female pilots. The air race is the modern-day version of the powder puff derby. Many notable, pioneering female aviatryx' have competed in this air race including Amelia Earhart and we are honored to join their ranks.
